I have never understood why people need these urls and that too for blogs!
Balaji, I don’t understand what you want to say. Is Documenting this unnecessary or having a self-hosted blog itself is unnecessary? People who want to self-host blogs can consult these people for technical advise. That’s the purpose of this post.
