NHM Writer is a never-seen-before tool for Tamil typing.
Features of NHM writer:

2. Downloadable software. An online version will be launched soon.

NHM writer is very userfriendly. However, while editing i find it difficult to find and replace a word, in a word file, since it displays only english commands. Even if I type in romanized method it is not able to analyze. May be I do not know the correct method. can you pl help me.
I am unable to type the Tamil letter “Poo” as in flower using Bamini to Unicode. Why is it?
Punithan, If I understand you correct, you tried to convert the word Poo written in bamini font to Unicode font using NHM Converter (not writer) ? Please clarify this.

If you encounter this problem, try it in this order
1. bring toggle status of NHM Writer to “off” before opening “find and replace”
2. open find and replace
3. now bring toggle status to your favourite keymap.
Punithan :
You can get “பூ” in bamini keymap by typing “g+”.
Also you can utilise “Key Preview” functionality in NHM Writer to understand the mapping properly.

It was not working fine with Windows 7 please fix the issue. It has the issues with config.xml, in which the access is denied to change the settings.

NHM writer is working very perfectly. But 01.09.2010 i update my kaspersky 2010 antivirus after that that detects nhm writer installed files and setup files as a virus and delete them. I download a new setup file and use old file. But also that has founded as virus. please help me…..

Update your kaspersky once again and try NHM Writer.
Kaspersky issues a False alert about NHM Writer which they reversed it on 4.09.2010.
Now there should not be any problem as Kaspersky and NHM Writer can co-exist without any issues.

I have windows 7 and having problem using NHM writer Unicode. The letters skip and if if it கீ…then it types க and then skips and puts weard symbols. This is happening only in word processor. When I use it in the emails, it works fine. HELP!!!

Sir, I was using this software successfully. But when I uploaded MS Office 2007 over 2003, I face the following problem.
The MS Word changes the font into “Latha” and accepts my keys and displays correctly for the first two letters, but when i press the third letter or space bar or enter, it shows the square boxes

Very good to know about this software. Kindly clarify if this follows the same key mapping style as that of Tavultesoft Keyman. I read in a previous comment that one has to type g+ to get Poo in Tamil. Can you point me to a guide for the mapping please?

Sir, I used NHM writer for more than one year. Suddenly it was not working. I downloaeded and reinstalled the software for three times after that. But, “Alt 2″ is not working to type in Tamil. I miss that very much. I cant write blogs now. Help me. What shall I do?
Actually, while downloading the software some errors occured. I clicked ignore button for that as i dont know what to do. why these errors occured?
Are you using McAfee Anti-virus software. I have the same problem. But it doesn’t happen on computers with Norton Anti-Virus. I have informed the NHM software people and sent a report to McAfee. No update as of Feb 2, 2012. If I find answers I will update it at:
